Abstract:

Cloud services have revolutionized the way we manage and collaborate on documents, offering both individual and group work capabilities online. These services come equipped with a wide range of features that are particularly beneficial for small-scale research and development (R&D) organizations. Among the key functionalities are notifications that alert users to updates and changes, revision management tools that track document changes over time, and compatibility across various devices, ensuring that team members can access their documents from anywhere. To fully leverage these advantages at an organizational level, it is essential to establish clear and well-defined processes. This involves outlining how documents will be created, reviewed, modified, and approved within the team. We propose implementing a systematic configuration management approach utilizing cloud document management services specifically designed to meet the needs of small-scale R&D organizations. This framework will not only enhance efficiency and collaboration but will also ensure that all team members are on the same page regarding document management practices, ultimately contributing to more effective research outcomes.
