Abstract:
In this paper, we introduce an innovative approach to location information awareness that systematically organizes the format of the location data of various nodes, ensuring effective communication between neighboring nodes in a ubiquitous environment. Our methodology focuses on enhancing the operational capacity of nodes by implementing a structured format for the exchanged location information. To achieve this, we manipulate the architecture of the Context Information Base (CiB), which serves as a repository for the contextual data associated with each node. Additionally, we refine the Context Information Communication Protocol (CiComm), which governs the interactions and data exchanges between nodes. This comprehensive approach allows for improved collaboration and coordination among nodes in real-time. We have conducted simulations of the proposed protocol using the NS-2 network simulator. The results indicate a high success rate in discovering nearby nodes and demonstrate efficient usage of bandwidth during the communication process. This suggests that our approach not only enhances the accuracy of location information awareness but also optimizes network resource utilization in a dynamic environment.
