THE EXTENT OF TECHNOLOGY UTILIZATION AMONG SPECIAL EDUCATION STUDENTS

Abstract:

The major purpose of the study was to investigate the extent of utilization of technology among special education students for learning and social relationship. The study adopted a cross-sectional survey. A convenience sample of 200 special education students enrolled in the undergraduate programme and postgraduate studies took part in this study. Students' Technology Utilization Questionnaire (STUQ) was used for data collection. The research data was analyzed using mean and standard deviation. Results showed that male and female students of special education moderately use technology for both learning and social relationship in the study area. Thus, these students should be given more access to technological gadgets for learning and other academic tasks.
