Abstract:

Electrical energy by mining enterprises is a significant share. Given such a wide application of compressed air, there is a need to reduce operating costs, based on the development of effective technical solutions in the process of compressed air production at industrial enterprises. Existing compressor unit cooling systems have a number of significant shortcomings due to the peculiarities of their operation. The analysis of compressor unit operation shows that air under cooling in reciprocating compressors for each 5-6 ℃ increases power consumption for air compression by 1 % and productivity decreases by 8-10 % which leads to tangible economic losses in compressed air production. This article considers various ways to improve the operation, the cooling system, offers new technical solutions, the implementation of which will reduce the energy intensity of compressor units operation.
