Abstract:

Nowadays the video applications are becoming more promising than before over Wireless Sensor Networks (VWSN) and that is because of the advancement of low-power wireless networking technologies with comparatively low cost hardware (CMOS). Video wireless sensor networks (VWSN) can be deployed quickly and used to provide accurate, real time visual data from any field. But there are some challenges for VWSN. The challenges for VWSN are the throughput of VWSN must be higher than WSN because of huge size of video data and the processing of video file is more complicated in WSN, the transmission of video file consumes more energy and need more bandwidth than WSN, Real time-video transmission needs delay’s-free network. As in sensor network one of the hot issues is to enable ultra low power consumption communication. In this paper we proposed a new algorithm for Video compression in WSN. It will use few bits in the compressed form but the quality of the video data will not be loss. The proposed algorithm will save power and will the efficiency will be improved because of pipelining.
