Abstract:

STEAM education explores the academic aspects of science and technology by topic type and the practical aspects of using advanced products. In addition, STEAM education can think of a convergent viewpoint to infer social issues in the humanities and social fields, and uses a method of eliciting problem-solving skills. The classification of the subtopic types for eight years can be largely divided into four types as follows. ① academic field convergence ② advanced products utilization ③ science and arts convergence, and finally ④ future career connection. This study examines the types of science and arts convergence in the STEAM education programs, and analyzes their relationships to investigate the direction and diversity of future STEAM education program development. First, this study examines the purpose of type 3 and 4 of STEAM education program development and classifies the development process of type 3 and 4 of subtopic. Second, the relationship between topics is examined based on the subject of years., and Third,, predict the future types of topics and direction of teaching and learning of STEAM education.
