Abstract:

This paper identified the contemporary sociopolitical crises in Nigeria expressed in rising violent upsurge as likely resulting in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in some learners. This development is most likely to impede the learning experiences of pupils in Nigerian primary schools, especially where these crises have been experienced. The paper, therefore, advocates for the primary school teachers to be thoroughly trained in crisis counseling to be useful in aiding the learners adjust properly to their expected learning experiences.
