Abstract:

The control of gasification temperature is mandatory in biomass gasifier to improve the efficiency of producer gas. The gasifier is used to convert the organic materials into a usable producer gas for power generation. Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controllers is the most favourable conventional method used for controlling the temperatures process. The non-linearity, change in parameters and time delay are the main challenges in controlling the temperature in biomass gasification system. In this paper the design of internal model controller (IMC) have been proposed to control the temperature during biomass gasification process. The obtained IMC controller outputs confirm the effectiveness of the proposed system than the conventional methods.
