Abstract:

Israel has just one major international airport named Ben-Gurion International Airport. Ben-Gurion Airport is overloaded and currently the Air Traffic Control in the airport is a very tough and complicated task. In addition Ben-Gurion airport operates 24 hours a day for landings and in some days also 24 hours for takeoffs, which causes intolerable noise level. This paper explores the current state of affairs in Ben-Gurion Airport and suggests a possible complementary International Airport in Dothan Valley.
