Abstract:

With the invention of technologies, people are adopting it more and more. Similarly technology is taking an effective part in educational institutes, like Learning Management System (LMS). Moreover E-learning systems are adopted by many institutes during the past 15 years.
A learning management system (LMS) is a software application for documentation, reporting and delivery of e-learning education courses.
This study has conducted a testing, based on the student’s experience regarding the LMS and main focus on the satisfaction level of using the three LMS namely Moodle, Edmodo and Coursesite as an e-learning platform.
A number of LMS has been introduced now, which are difficult for people to choose the better one. Some are hard to use where as some are easier to use from the users perspective. In short, people are confused to use it. There is therefore a need to focus on the usability of the some LMS to find out the solution to this confusion. So, this paper gives us results based on the heuristic evaluation of three of the main e-learning open source platforms: Moodle, Course sites and Edmodo.
