Abstract:

Several surveys have been conducted over the past decade to gain a better understanding of public attitudes to biotechnology [1-5]. These outcomes of these surveys varies as the public attitudes toward biotechnology in general have been characterized as a swing between negative and positive. These surveys reveals that little attention has been paid to building a robust metric appropriate for emerging public opinion perceptions of both benefits and risks of biotech applications. This summary paper is an attempt to provide more information on Biotechnology so to break the high salience with very limited knowledge by the public.
