This study was conducted to examine information and communication technology as a tool for improving teacher professional development for effective service delivery. The population of the study consisted of all the 301 teachers in primary schools in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. The instrument was a 28-item researcher developed questionnaire which was face validated by two experts in Sociology of Education and Measurement and Evaluation. Mean score statistic was used for data analysis. A mean of 2.50 and above was adopted as a cut-off mark for the acceptance of the items. The findings among others showed that teachers to a very low extent can utilization ICT resources, and teachers can be empowered to utilize ICT for their professional development through the provision of ICT resources in schools, and the building of ICT laboratory in schools. The paper highlighted recommendations in line with the findings of the study.
