Abstract:

The research into the application of database theory in music education and counseling is innovative and will bring expansion on the overall scope of research in music education and counseling. However, the main focus of the present study was to discuss the application of database theory in music education and counseling. The qualitative research methodology was followed and a thorough search was carried out to determine the possibilities of using database theory to improve standards of music education and counseling research. In-depth discussion was raised based on the issues found in the literature. It was noted that database theory will accelerate the progress of various forms of research using statistical methods in the music education and counseling disciplines. Again, it was observed that the empirical study is lacking in this line of research. Therefore, researchers are encouraged to investigate more in this area following quantitative methodology.
